Technology used in call answering services

Since the services of call answering companies became more and more popular in the 1990's, we have seen a great change in the technology used. From the humble beginnings of switchboards and painstaking message taking this has now led onto the use of the most up-to-date technology. Now with the simple flick of a switch, a call can be answered with the exact details of the customer displayed on the screen. Much more use can be made of internet technology and the most fast and effective telecommunications systems. There is no such thing as a common answering service and often it exists that there is a whole team of people who are more than happy to sit at their desks and take mindless and repetitive calls all day.
